Visiting Gomde Lindholme Hall

“We want everyone in whatever way they want, to be part of this international centre for study and meditation” - Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche

We have a small resident community at Gomde and try our best to make everyone welcome.

Day Visitors

Visitors are very welcome. Please telephone beforehand to check someone will be available to show you around and explain our activities.

Please note we are closed on Wednesday for house retreat.

The extensive grounds of Lindholme Hall help to establish a tranquil and secluded atmosphere to aid meditation and quiet reflection, we therefore do not have an open access policy on the land.

Staying at the Hall

People are welcome to come to Gomde Lindholme Hall as a residential visitor to find some space for quiet and self reflection, to learn more about Buddhism, participate in the daily house meditation sessions, meditate, read, use the library and walk in the secluded grounds. Guests would be expected to help with meal time chores. Please note we have no single rooms and during busy times it is likely that you will need to share a room. Costs £30 per day.

Work Retreat

People staying at the Hall on work retreat have special discounted rates of £15 per day. Work retreat is a minimum of 6 hours work and includes all meals.
