Please note as of March 2013 there is a disrupted train service from Doncaster to Hatfield and Stainforth. An alternative route is to catch the number 88 bus at Doncaster train station to Hatfield Woodhouse village; the buses run approximately every half hour. Please make prior arramgements with us for a lift from the village.

Travel Tips:
To get the cheapest train fares it is necessary to book tickets 2-3 weeks in advance.
If you plan to come by train from Stansted Airport you will have to change trains at Peterborough - it is sometimes cheaper to book 2 separate tickets Stansted to Peterborough and then Peterborough to Doncaster rather than one ticket from Stansted to Doncaster.
Sounds odd, but the UK train system is not always logical!

Hatfield Stainforth station is very small with no taxis available. During quiet times it may be possible to arrange a pick up if you arrive at this station. However, please check with us in advance, a small charge to cover costs applies.
Travel Tip:
If you are travelling by taxi to Gomde please print off a copy of the directions from the web site as some taxi drivers have had difficulty finding us.

Nearest village is Hatfield Woodhouse which is on the A614.
Directions from M18/M180 Junction:
Leave the M18 at Junction 5 and take the M180. Leave the M180 at the first exit, Junction 1, onto the A614 and follow the signs for Hatfield Woodhouse. Once in Hatfield Woodhouse leave the A614, turning left into Remple Lane opposite the primary school, and then shortly bearing left into Hollingbridge Road. After ~400 metres (~1/4 mile), the paved road takes a 90 degree right-hand bend. After another 200 metres (220 yards) the road takes a 90 degree left-hand bend before almost immediately turning 90 degrees to the right, crossing the West Moor Drain bridge and becoming Turf Moor Road. Follow the road until eventually, after ~1.5 km (~1 mile), make a 90 degree left-hand turn into Lindholme Bank Road (you will see the Nature England car park and picnic spots here). Follow this road for ~1.5 km (~1 mile) and you will reach two semi-detached cottages on your left. (Satnav systems may think you have arrived by now!) Pass the cottages and continue down the road for ~400 metres (~1/4 mile) until you come to Lindholme Hall.
